TheClubHut.com Launched!
Whilst in development, this website was called sipbib.com. It has since been rebranded and today is being launched as TheClubHut.com! There are many updates planned for the coming months, and I hope you like the new interface and feel that it is an improvement. My intention is that it comes across as better laid out, nicer to look at, and more clearly belonging to your club when you look at it. In the next two weeks I'll be making a request to the people who use this website. I'm in need of advice about what parts you like the best, what you'd like me to improve, and ideas for further development. To do this I'm going to send out a survey, which I would hugely appreciate your time and effort in filling in. That's it from me, thanks for all the encouragement and enthusiasm so far! Nick

Erg Bookings and Event Creation
Two updates went live today: 1. Erg bookings for QCBC and MBC can now be booked by anyone when you are less than 24 hours away from a priority booking (so long as no one else has booked them of course). 2. The bug in the event creation has been fixed, and new events can be added, and teams entered. Sorry for the inconvenience this caused!

Sipbib.com Club Pages
I used to have information on Sipbib.com on non-club pages. These were quite different from the club pages, and I felt led to rather a confusing interface. Today I moved information from the about page into a standard Club Page. Treating Sipbib as a club on the website really makes sense, as a lot of the work i've done to enable clubs to easily create pages, can be used to give information on Sipbib! |

Crew Captains and Substitutes
As of today you can now nominate someone in your crew to be the crew captain. This doesn't give any extra functionality to that person, but they do get a "Captain" label next to them on the crew lists! Secondly you can now add substitutes for a race. These are viewable on both the race report page, and the team's page. I'm yet to correct race history's on the profile page, but that'll be next! |

Two Updates
Today I made two updates to the website. Firstly, a bug in the adding of news has been fixed which was kindly reported by a member of the QCBC committee. The bug stopped the news from being posted if the user had chosen to email the news story as well as post it on the news page. This has now been fixed. Another update has been to add a function which automatically sends an email to a club's current committee when a member requests membership. This should help committee members administer the club's membership meaning that they don't have to check the members page to see whether or not new members have applied. |

Rich HTML Editing for Race Reports
Race reports are now able to be edited with Rich HTML. This means that rather than simply plain text, you can write in paragraphs, colours, bold, tables, etc... An important and hopefully very used update! I'll next spread this Rich HTML form to the News Story form.

Sipbib Pages
To keep you up to date on the latest features being added to the website I've created a sipbib.com club page.
Things are really moving quickly behind the scenes of the website. Last week saw a really big improvement to the Forum system. Now clubs, teams, committees and membership types can message each other in forums. Further to this, committee members can email either membership groups, or individual teams. Next up I'll be adding the ability to add substitutes to crews for races, captains. Today I improved the interface of the forums and coaches by adding a tabbed browsing interface. |
