Another cold misty morning for fun novice racing. After meeting at the boathouse at some ridiculous hour to race at 7:50 we had a nice row down to the reach. The first race was against a very average downing b crew. There were no problems here with the crew taking almost a length of them at the start, then settling into a relaxed rhythm to finish the race a few lengths ahead. The second race however gave us competition against a boat with an a better start then us. Although they got about a length on us after the start we held them through the first bit of the race. However a thoroughly disheartened crew with no idea how far ahead maggie were had a scrappy middle of the race. Never mind eh... we lost to the eventual winners by a number of lengths.
