| 1st Women's May VIII - Bumped Trinity Hall | |

Great start to our may bumps campaign. Lots of uncertainty about the speed of the other boats around us going into today but we executed our race plan perfectly to bump Tit Hall by the Plough. Great focus and superb move to close on the bump. Bring on the rest of the week! Mills xxx |

| 1st Men's May VIII - Row Over - 5th in Div 1 | |

Today was no real surprise for us. We knew that we would easily have the speed to hold-off a hard charging St Catz crew who were fighting to flee a quick Downing crew, our aim was to go out and try to nail Caius who in racing earlier in term, we had been pretty close in speed to. However, they we also on a serious mission to catch Jesus. They caught Jesus on grassy, leaving us with an empty river on which to row-over for the rest of the course as carnage created by Downing bumping St Catz on first post held the rest of the division from rowing through. Bring on tomorrow! Ed |

| 2nd Women's May VIII - Rowed over... | |
|
By far the hardest race any of us have ever rowed... and everyone gave 100% right to the end. We started well, catching on Wolfson and leaving Trinity Hall with no chance, but never quite managed to bump, despite everyone's best efforts. We had overlap three times, but couldn't make contact, as Wolfson responded really well to our pushes. It might seem disappointing to have been so near and yet so far, but we should be really proud of the way we raced today - bring on tomorrow! xXx |

Caught sydney just after the plough, real solid row and very happy! Not much in it off the start but considerably better fitness and technically so once they started going we caught them quickly (apparently!)... |

| 3rd Women's May VIII - Bumped by Clare Hall | |
|
Sadly we were bumped by Clare Hall. We managed to get a good start but Clare Hall were stonger boat and gradually gained on us, bumping just before the Plough. |

M3 came to this day not sure what to expect, being in the infamous Sandwich boat of course meant that we were likely to be doing two rows today, and this did happen. Our first race we were being chased by Emma 3, after an alright start but not our best we began to put some distance between us and them and were clear and settling well when they were bumped out around the plough reach, we just moved on and covered the rest of the course with no pressure, the next crew out of sight and rowed over. After losing our bow ball and some hasty repairs we got ready for the second race chasing Darwin 2. Again our start wasn't the best and we didn't really do much round the corners, however we then went at Ditton and ate into them putting ourselves with overlap. However the coxing from Darwin was good and they just managed to avoid us eventually rowing over. Very promising tomorrow as we now know where we were and how much harder we can push, bring on tomorrow. |
